Dear Teachers and Administrators,
Welcome to the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation website page for Grants. Twice a year, we encourage you to fill out an application for professional development grants or for classroom grants. We have finished the fall grant cycle for 2009. The next grant cycle will commence in March.
Spring 2010 will mark the fifteenth time CEEF has funded requests from faculty and administration for opportunities to expand educational experiences for both teachers and students. The current application is available for download. Applications may be sent for the spring cycle electronically to the e-mail address below or mailed to Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation, P.O. Box 6225, Cape Elizabeth, Maine 04107 by March 19th.
It is CEEF's mission to foster innovation and excellence in our schools, and our role is to fund initiatives that fall outside the school budget. The process is competitive to the extent that we usually receive grant requests totaling more than our budgeted allocations for each cycle, but we encourage you to apply and to share your ideas with us.
The CEEF Grants Committee, made up of a faculty advisor from each school, CEEF board members, and several community members, reviews all the applications. We will invite each applicant to make a brief presentation to the committee on April 5th and 6th in the High School Library. This will give all of us a chance to ask questions and exchange information. After the presentations, the Committee goes into closed session to determine the funding recommendations to CEEF's Board of Directors. These recommendations will be presented to the full Board April 26, and all applicants will receive notice of the decisions shortly afterwards. Please sign up for your presentation time on the calendar found by clicking on this link.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to receiving your applications. Meanwhile, you may wish to review some of our past projects by following the links at left.
Sincerely,
Claire Depke and Hulda Khalidi
