Improving writing through Inside/Outside Professional Collaboration Tom Eismeier, Multiple Grade Levels CEEF is providing funds to invite an author/researcher to spend 2 days in residence with teachers in Pond Cove and to participate in full faculty discussions as to best educational methods for improving writing instruction in the school. The grant names several potential educators for this integrative project, and anticipates a continued relationship with the author/researcher during the school year.

Responsive Classroom - Northeast Foundation Weeklong Institute Karen Abbott, Multiple Grade Levels CEEF is providing funds for at least 4 Pond Cove teachers to attend this Institute which focuses is on the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching children. It integrates an academic curriculum with a social curriculum that focuses on building a positive classroom community. This is a summer 2006 series of workshops.
