Teacher Awards

Thompson Award

This award, established by Tim and Nancy Thompson, is in memory of their son Timothy. This award honors a faculty or staff member who goes above and beyond what is expected, providing a lasting and meaningful impact on Cape Elizabeth students.

The 2017 Thompson Award recipient is CEHS social studies teacher, Ted Jordan. “Mr. Jordan continually provides experiences and opportunities to CEHS students,” said Nancy Thompson. “His ability to instill creativity and independent thinking is a monumental testament to his work ethic and love of his profession.”

Brownell Award

The Brownell Award, named in honor of retired high school mathematics teacher Elaine Brownell. This award recognizes a faculty member who did an outstanding job implementing a CEEF grant during the prior year.

The 2017 Brownell Award recipient is Sexual Assault Awareness for Everyone (SAAFE).  A day-long student driven seminar created ” tools for all students on this sensitive and crucial topic” said Elaine Brownell.
